The St. Hilary School Choir performs regularly at St. Hilary's and throughout the community.
Rehearsals:
Weekly, Tuesdays during lunch period
Open to students in grades 3-8

The choir is restructuring slightly to provide students with a more traditional and professional choral experience. This week, all students will sing an indivudal placement audition to decide if they have a higher, soprano, voice or a lower, alto, voice. Students will song a brief song they are very familiar with. These auditions do not decide if a student is in the choir, only if they have a high voice or low voice.

The choir will be divided in to a Soprano section and an Alto section.

Several new student leadership positions will be opened and Mr. Pignataro will appoint students to these positions. They include:

- Section leader- Responsible for taking attendance, talking up choir while not in rehearsal, ensuring students' questions are answered, assisting Mr. Pignataro as needed, but most importantly, learning music and demonstrating a very high level of musicianship in rehearsals.

- Librarian- Responsible for helping all students receive music and music packets, maintaining music books, and filing music so that it can be used in the future. Librarians will also help choose music and repertoire to be considered by Mr. Pignataro.

All students are welcome request these positions, but they require a great deal of responsibility. Most likely, students demonstrating maturity, musicality, and the interest to learn good music will be selected.
